I Just Read Your Bio and…October 18, 2021
☎️ I recently received a call from someone that I had never met. They said something that sent my mind whirling, “I just read your bio on LinkedIn, and… we have so much in common!”
Whew! That sentence could have ended a lot differently. Or quite possibly the conversation could have never happened.
Which got me thinking… 🤔
What does my bio say? Is it still true? Is it missing something that is relevant now that wasn’t relevant when I wrote it?
If any of those questions ring true for you, I have a quick marketing exercise🏋🏻♀️ that will help you move swiftly about the internet updating and “righting” what others are reading about you!
- Google your name and make a list of the citations you are featured on-here’s a checklist to help you find the most prevelant sites for Real Estate
- Ideal client Ask yourself if it is written in a way that will attract my current ideal client -I.e. your ideal client may have been buyers and now you are focused on sellers
- Extra Credit: Inject your mission-not a mission statement, rather your mission
For example, here’s my current mission:
At West, I know that Real Estate Brokers are inundated with new marketing & technology decisions daily, and they’re not sure which ones will make an impact on their business. It’s my business to know all of these solutions and how they fit into their world so I can help them make the right decisions, at the right time, to attract the right clients.
Keeping your bio current with a yearly 👩🔬 check-up is marketing worth doing!
