WORKSHOP – Facebook Ads Manager Basics

WORKSHOP – Facebook Ads Manager Basics

May 5, 2020

Why should a Real Estate Professional be running Facebook Ads?

Eyeballs! 👀It’s all about attention and, like it or not, Facebook and Instagram are the Newspaper today. In fact, in so many ways Digital Ads are actually better than the newspaper. With newspaper ads, and any other form of print media, the results are difficult to measure the reach and impact. The biggest advantage to running digital ads is the ability measure you’re the results and use that data for future advertisements.

Ads from your business page are also important because organic reach will only get you SO FAR nowadays. In fact, organic reach from business pages has been on the decline year over year. Which means, your Business Page content is not at the top of anyone’s news feed anymore. This makes running ads that much more important.

Bottom line, if you want your brand or content to be SEEN or, more importantly, FOUND in 2020, you will have to implement Digital Advertising.

It’s all about Brand Awareness!

Focus on Awareness and Reach Ads first. This puts your message in front of more potential customers for less money. However, keep in mind, the goal with these Awareness ads is NOT Lead Capture. The KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are Reach, Impressions, Engagement, Video Watch Time, etc. We will warm your audience up before we go for their contact information.

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is perfect for Real Estate Professionals who are just getting started running their own Facebook ads. Even if you have never run an ad on Facebook or Instagram, or used the Boost Post Button. At the end of this workshop you should have a basic understanding of the Ads Manager and be able to confidently create your own ads.

DIY vs. DFY

Typically, most business owners who currently run Facebook Ads fall into one of two categories: DIY and DFY

DFY (Done For You) – Sure you can pay someone to run and manage your Facebook Ads for you. In many cases the people that I work with are small businesses who can’t afford to spend $1,000 or more per month to play the game.

DIY (Do It Yourself) – This is probably why you are reading this now. The Ads manager can be scary for those who are unfamiliar with it. Learning some of the basics of the platform and best practices, will help you significantly in the long run. It will take some time and practice to become proficient. Having a coach or an MTD who can help guide you down that road is important.

I want to make this workshop as simple and easy as possible. I will stick to the basics and use the default settings in as many places as possible. The goal is to get you familiar with the interface and comfortable creating your ads going forward.

This workshop covers:

  • The Anatomy of a Facebook Ad and why each part is essential
  • Selecting and creating the right audience for your ad
  • Special Ad Category Ads for Real Estate
  • Basic walkthrough of the Ads Manager Interface

In the next workshop, I will walk you through the process of creating Custom Retargeting Audiences to stay in front of your ideal client.

Here is a replay of the Workshop recorded on May 5, 2020.
